wow, that would allude to some time in the past when I might have actually cleaned the inside of an oven.... I do clean my microwave regularly....I heat lemon juice in it for a few minutes and the "lemon steam" loosens everything and then I wipe it straight away. Totally beside the point, but I wanted to establish that I DO clean some of my kitchen appliances.

I have to admitt that I have not cleaned my oven either. I've cleaned all other appliances but never the oven. They have oven cleaners in the store but they are made of very harsh chemicals. Sorry, I have not alternatives to offer you.

One look will tell you my oven is begging to be cleaned! I have managed to spill a few experimental recipes in my oven over the 6 years we have lived & cooked here! Thanks!
